TPEs are a class of materials that combine the elasticity of rubber with the processability of
plastics. Unlike traditional rubbers, TPEs do not require vulcanization and can be melted and
reshaped multiple times. This makes them highly efficient for manufacturing processes like
injection molding and extrusion.
TPEs are used in consumer products, medical devices, automotive components, and soft-touch
applications such as grips and seals. Their recyclability and ease of processing make them
attractive for industries focused on sustainability and cost efficiency. However, they may not
match the high-temperature performance of vulcanized rubbers.
