Mr. Markus Hartanto founded Chemindo in 1990 with a small team in Jakarta and Surabaya. Close relationships with customers and international manufacturers shaped a business built on dependable supply and practical technical knowledge.

Mr. Markus Hartanto founded Chemindo in 1990 with a small team in Jakarta and Surabaya, beginning as a general chemical trading and distribution company serving Indonesian industry.

Establishment in East Java
A Surabaya-area office established Chemindo's East Java presence in its founding year, bringing local customer support beyond West Java.

Entry Into Rubber and Elastomers
Chemindo expanded into rubber elastomers and specialty chemicals, partnering with international manufacturers to serve tire, automotive, consumer-goods, and industrial-rubber customers.

Rubber Testing Instruments
Chemindo expanded into rubber and polymer testing instruments, adding equipment, parts, consumables, and local technical service to support laboratory and production-quality requirements in Indonesia.

Establishment of the Bojong Indah Headquarters
Chemindo moved to Bojong Indah, establishing its national headquarters as the base for commercial leadership and customer coordination across Indonesia.

First Dedicated Distribution Warehouse in Tangerang
Chemindo established its first dedicated warehouse in Tangerang, strengthening inventory management, logistics, and distribution capacity while creating room for continued growth.

Entry Into the Plastics Industry
Chemindo expanded into plastic additives and other specialty plastic chemicals, supporting packaging, automotive, construction, consumer goods, and other plastics-processing industries.

Establishment of PT Chemindo-NTIA
Chemindo formed PT Chemindo-NTIA with NTIA, an American company in the ZERUST®/EXCOR® network, bringing corrosion-protection products and application support to Indonesian industry.

Start of Rubber Manufacturing
Factory operations began, establishing today's CIB Manufacturing. Two mixing lines and an in-house laboratory support compound development and production.

Chemindo achieved ISO 9001 certification, reinforcing documented quality controls, disciplined processes, and continual improvement across its commercial and manufacturing activities.

CIB Manufacturing expanded into engineered rubber products with ten press machines and supporting cutting and processing capabilities, connecting compound development to finished components.

Expansion Into Coatings and Adhesives
A dedicated coatings and adhesives team broadened the portfolio through tackifier resins and other specialty products, supported by international principal partnerships.

Chemindo-NTIA Moves to a Dedicated Warehouse
PT Chemindo-NTIA transitioned into a dedicated operation in Cikarang, placing the corrosion-solutions business closer to major industrial customers while continuing to support projects nationwide.

Eight additional press machines expanded the fleet from ten to eighteen, supporting growth in engineered rubber products and customer production requirements.
